The 16 year old son of John Travolta, who died in the house that the actor has in the Bahamas, "was very well supervised" before being found unconscious in the bathroom, a lawyer said Sunday the actor.

A housekeeper found unconscious in the bathroom Jett Travolta on Friday morning before he was transferred by ambulance to a hospital in Freeport, where he was pronounced dead, said police commissioner Basil Rahming. The teenager was last seen when they went to the bathroom on Thursday.

However, Michael McDermott, a lawyer for Travolta, said he did not believe that Jett Travolta was in the bathroom for a long time.

"The police gave the impression that the boy had no supervision. No. Two nurses were with him the whole afternoon," McDermott told The Associated Press. "(The police) seems to say that he was sent to the house and how nobody was found until the next morning."

"(Jett) was very well supervised," said McDermott, who added that he has not had a chance to talk with the two nurses.

The lawyer said it was unaware of the medical records of Jett Travolta, but "understood that there was a history of stroke." Clearly it is not whether the teen was taking medication for that.

Dr. Hubert Minnis, Minister of Health of the Bahamas, said that a second pathologist certified U.S. travel to the islands on Monday to attend the autopsy.

"I have spoken to Travolta and I have informed you that the government is doing all it can," said Minnis Sunday, specifying that it could not give details about the autopsy.

A dozen security guards and police officers patrolling the Bahamas Sunday around the luxurious Old Bahama Bay community where Travolta and his wife, actress Kelly Preston, have your holiday home. On Sunday, remained in his home.

The couple also has eight years of a daughter, Ella Bleu.

Travolta, 54, is completing preparations for the funeral and hopes to transport his son's body flown to Florida in mid-week, McDermott said. Travolta and Preston, 46, have a house in Ocala, Florida.

The couple said that Jett was very ill when he was two years and was diagnosed with Kawasaki syndrome, a disease that produces inflammation of blood vessels in infants.

It blamed fertilizers and cleaning agents at home, and said that a detoxification program based on the teachings of the Church of Scientology helped them improve their health, according to People magazine. Travolta and Preston are both members of the Church of Scientology.
