The government of India to Pakistan on Monday handed over evidence linking "elements" with the Pakistani assault in November in Mumbai that left 164 dead, the Foreign Ministry reported.

The Pakistani High Commissioner in New Delhi's foreign secretary Shivshankar Menon received information linking the attack to "elements in Pakistan," the Foreign Ministry said in a statement.

India has blamed the assault on militia in Pakistan, while the Pakistani authorities have rejected the accusations and asserted that New Delhi is required to provide definitive evidence. Of the assailants, who occupied several buildings in the financial capital of India, only one survived to the response of the Indian forces.

The evidence included material questioning the sole surviving attacker, details of talks between the leaders and their alleged assailants in Pakistan, and recovered weapons and information on satellite phones.
