"Broken Hugs," Pedro Almodovar's film presented on Tuesday at the Cannes Film Festival, is "one of the most complex scripts, bravest and most courageous of the Spanish director, said his main interpreter , actress Penelope Cruz.

"The script I was surprised to read from first page to last, and I am grateful to Peter for having given back their confidence and giving me a wonderful and very different from what I had done before," added actress, who gave a press conference along with Almodóvar after the first pass of the film at the Cannes Film Festival.

The role is all the more difficult, there are two roles in one, "and sometimes in the shooting had to be interpreted in two days, one in the morning and another in the afternoon."

In addition, one of these is not a very good actress, "and had to interpret the same scenes sometimes good and sometimes bad," he added.

Penelope Cruz denied, on the other hand, rumors about who was suffering from influenza A (known as swine flu).

"I had a flu, a normal flu, but a normal flu can make you feel badly," he explained.
